Google Voice connected with Gmail user interface

Whether a phone is a land line, desktop virtual phone or cell phone, every person wants to be able to make free calls within the U.S. and Canada. It’s enticing to everyone except traditional phone and cellular service providers, that is. Making free phone calls is easier for Google users now. It helps a lot to have Gmail and Google Voice being connected. Anywhere you are able to access Gmail, you are able to make a free call.

Google Voice turns your Gmail connections into an active phone service

You might not have a phone on you, or you may be in a place with poor cellular reception or exorbitant roaming fees, but if you have an Internet connection and can access your Gmail account, you can make a free call with Google Voice. Two cents per minute is the rate if the call is outside the U.S. or Canada. The Google Talk plug-in is the only things needed, says Tech Crunch. Make and receive calls from within the Gmail interface, and if you miss a call, the voicemail goes straight to your Gmail inbox. If you need to keep talking but are leaving, you also have the option of transferring a call from Google Voice to your cell phone.

Google Voice in Gmail is coming soon

Google is rolling out the new Google Voice features over the next few days to U.S.-based Gmail accounts, according to the official Google Voice Blog. As soon as you can use it, a “call phone” will show up. It can be in your Google Chat list. There will be a Google Voice feature for those using Google Apps for academic or business purposes. Of course that might take just a little longer to appear and be useable.
